are flexible piping components or piping couplings made of steel, stainless steel or other materials needed in a wide range of industrial applications where:

  • flexible piping systems have to transfer powder and granules, gases and liquids;
  • gases and liquids have to be injected into rotating plant components;
  • hose connections have to be balanced from stress caused by bending or torsion forces or replaced by swivel joint scissors;
  • swivel joint scissors are applied because of extreme plant specifications and/or raised security requirements.

Swivel Joints are applied in the following industrial areas and applications:

Swivel Joints are available in 8 different styles (10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 30 und 31) combinable with 3 types of connecting ends (threaded, flanged and welding ends). Appropriate combination of these styles may realize almost every 3 dimensional movement.

Coming up to these and other requirements our customers select from the following choice of Swivel Joints (the types T, CF, W, LW and LA are i. a. certified according to TA-Luft):

Swivel Joint Type W

Type W is our standard swivel joint. It is equipped with a radial sealing. The bearing has 2 marble runs for application with high outside forces or moments or very high pressures. The standard bullets are made of stainless steel.

It serves as base for customer-specific applications like operating pressures up to 1 000 bar or high-temperature applications of low-pressure range up to vacuum range (exhaust from combustion processes) or liquefied gas applications like LPG, etc.

There can be used for a variety of fluids. Our customers select the materials for cabinets, sealings and bearings according to the specification.

Such connections as pipe nozzles or pipe elbows, threads and flanges are available. Customer-specific connections can be installed alternatively.

Swivel Joint Type LW

Type LW is the “light” version of the type W for application under low and medium pressures or for low outside forces or moments. Therefore the bearing has only one bearing track.

It is identical in construction as type W.

Swivel Joint Type T

Type T is our standard swivel joint for hydraulic applications with threads connectors.
It is radially sealed and has a bearing with 2 bearing tracks.
Some different threads can be mounted, such as aG1/2″ combined with iG3/4″.
Construction forms 10, 11, and 12 can also be applied on the flexible pipings with narrow installation dimensions.

It could be modified according to the customer specifications. Accordingly, there are a wide range of materials for housing and sealings.

Swivel Joint Type LT

Swivel Joint Type LA

for Loading arms for ships, tank trains and tank trucks

Type LA is our standard swivel joint for use in loading arms on the ships, tanker trains, and fuel tank trucks.

The swivel joint is sealed radially.
The seal is designed with redundancy and has additionally an O-Ring between medium’s sealing and bearing.
The bearing is designed with 2 bearing tracks that are dimensioned for operation pressure of 160 bar. This leads to the very long life.
The housing consists of three parts that make it easy to change a seal without having to completely dismantle the loading arm.

Swivel Joint Type V

Swivel Joints Type V are designed as straight union and 90° elbow union, with male (N), female (S) threaded ends and as olive type tube fitting (C) with 24° sealing cone.

Swivel Joint Type F

for Food and Pharmaceuticals (FDA conform)

Type F is our swivel joint for loading arms with which food and pharmaceutical products should be loaded. The joint – like all our food joints – is equipped with a axial seal to allow optimum cleaning and dead spaces. as small as possible. The joint has a leakage hole and an additional O-ring seal towards the bearing. The bearing grease used is of course also food compliant. Three-piece housing is used for easy seal replacement.

Swivel Joint Type HCR

for Corrosive Chemicals

Type HCR is a loading swivel joint for aggressive chemicals such as concentrated hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. For this purpose the loading swivel joint is designed with PTFE and furnished with leakage monitoring. By means of it can be checked, if the sealings are worn out.

The sealings can be also in redundant version. The bearing is designed with 2 bearing tracks.

We can modify this swivel joint according to the customer specification too.

Swivel Joint Type CF-TW

for (Air-) Refueling Systems

Type CF-TW is a swivel joint with an intermediate flange for the airfield fuelling of the tank trucks. Normally it is made of aluminium and sealed radially.

Swivel Joint Type CF

Type CF is our standard intermediate flange joint and basically identical in construction to type W, except that the flanges are not welded on but turned on. This has advantages with regard to concentric running with large nominal diameters (>DN350), since the lack of welding does not create any heat-affected zones and therefore no distortion can occur.

Swivel Joint Type HT

for High Temperature Applications

Type HT is our high temperature swivel joint for special applications. It has a special sealing system which can withstand extreme temperatures. It can be readjusted when installed.

Currently it is used for molten salts, thermal oils and overheated steam. The materials are used according to the requirement profile or customer specification.
